In Habitat for Humanity Nicaragua, we united in community to face Covid-19. We started a fundraising campaign: Support a family #wearecommunity, which aims to help 1500 families living in the dry corridor to have the basic supplies to face the pandemic.
Our goal is to provide each family with: a hygiene kit (includes soaps, detergent, chlorine, disinfectant and reusable face mask), safe water kit (which will ensure that the water they use for drink, cook and handwashing is clean and safe) and a first Aid kit (includes food and medicine), which allows them to face Covid-19.
“Nicaraguan people have a big heart, solidarity and humanism is something that we see every day. Today’s call is for united us as a community, helping each other to face the health crisis. Support a family because each helping hand makes a difference” Frank Matus-Aguirre, Country Director says.
