Habitat for Humanity Nicaragua presents the: Technical assistance guide for the self-construction of wooden houses in the Caribbean
With the arrival of Hurricane Eta and the difficult situation that hundreds of families are going through on the Nicaraguan Caribbean Coast, Habitat for Humanity Nicaragua presents and shares the Technical Assistance Guide for the self-construction of wooden houses.
The document prepared years ago, after Hurricane Felix, includes basic construction guidelines that help the residents of the communities and the qualified construction workforce to reinforce their knowledge and build houses that are resistant to natural forces of destructive capacity, especially hurricanes, using local materials.
The document is available in Spanish and Miskito, and can be downloaded completely free of charge.
